Vegetation Management Foreman

As the UTT Foreman you will be responsible to:

·        Supervise and coordinate the activities of vegetation management crews.

·        Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

·        Inspect work sites to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.

·        Train and mentor vegetation management personnel.

·        Develop and implement work schedules and project plans with support from General Management.

·        Maintain equipment and ensure proper usage and maintenance.

·        Communicate effectively with utility companies, property owners, and crew members.

·        Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site.

·        Prepare and submit reports on work progress and project outcomes

Qualifications:

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience in tree trimming or utility vegetation management.

·        Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

·        UTT/UTW certification is required.

·        High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in forestry, arboriculture, or related field is an asset.

·        Aerial Life Operations and Fall Protection

·        Chainsaw Safety Certification is ideal.

·        Tree Risk Management training is an asset.

·        Strong knowledge of tree trimming techniques, tools, and equipment.

·        Excellent understanding of safety standards and practices.

·        Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

·        Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).

·        Ability to climb trees and work at heights.

·        Capable of lifting heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).

·        Physical stamina and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.
